Dedalus is proud to celebrate the recognition of two healthcare transformation projects powered by the Swiftqueue patient engagement platform, both shortlisted at this year’s healthcare awards for their contribution to improving patient access, communication and care delivery across Ireland.
The shortlisted projects, delivered in partnership with leading healthcare organisations, demonstrate how digital innovation can help address operational challenges while creating more accessible, efficient and patient-centred services.
The first shortlisted initiative, in the Best Use of AI / Digital Health category, recognises the “Age Related Day Hospital” project at Naas General Hospital, HSE. The project highlights how digital technologies can support more effective service delivery and patient engagement, helping healthcare teams improve access to care while streamlining administrative processes.
The second shortlisted initiative, in the Healthcare Initiative – Child Health & Wellbeing – Older Children category, celebrates the “Introduction of a Self-Scheduling Virtual Consultation System into the CHI Crumlin Diabetes Service“. Delivered at Children’s Health Ireland, Crumlin, the project has transformed how young patients and their families access diabetes services through a flexible, self-service digital pathway that supports appointment scheduling and virtual care delivery.
Both projects demonstrate the value of empowering patients with greater choice and control over their healthcare journeys. Through Swiftqueue’s digital scheduling and communication capabilities, healthcare providers can reduce administrative burden, improve clinic utilisation and create more convenient experiences for patients and families.
By enabling self-service appointment management and enhancing communication between providers and patients, the platform helps reduce inefficiencies associated with traditional booking processes while supporting healthcare teams to focus more time on delivering care.
These digital pathways also contribute to improved service accessibility, ensuring patients can engage with healthcare services in ways that best suit their individual needs.
The recognition of these projects reflects a growing commitment across Irish healthcare to embrace digital innovation as a means of improving both patient outcomes and operational performance. From supporting older adults through day hospital services to improving access to specialist paediatric diabetes care, the shortlisted initiatives demonstrate the versatility and impact of digital patient engagement technologies across a range of care settings.
For Dedalus, the dual recognition highlights the important role that collaborative partnerships play in delivering meaningful healthcare transformation. By working closely with healthcare organisations to design solutions around the needs of patients, clinicians and administrators, Swiftqueue continues to support the delivery of more connected, accessible and efficient healthcare services.
We extend our congratulations to our partners at Naas General Hospital and Children’s Health Ireland, Crumlin, as well as to everyone involved in the successful delivery of these projects. Their dedication to innovation and patient-centred care has resulted in well-deserved recognition and serves as an excellent example of how digital technology can create lasting benefits for patients, staff and healthcare systems alike.
