Stefania Salvemini

International Women in Engineering Day 2022

My name is Stefania Salvemini, I am 32 years old and I have a master’s degree in Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic of Bari.

I have been working in Dedalus for almost 2 years, in Italy, in the Bari office and I am currently a Product Development Specialist.

I am working on the P4C (Planner for Care) project, through which users can prescribe a series of multidisciplinary services, activities, drugs and protocols configured for problem or pathology.

Why did you choose engineering as your education?
I have always been fascinated by science subjects, with a special focus on computer science, despite the still male-dominated environment.

What would you say to young females who are thinking about studying engineering education?
I would tell young women to follow their passions and never be influenced by the stereotypes that are still unfortunately present.

What attracted you to a career at Dedalus?
What do you like about working for Dedalus? The idea of working on something innovative in healthcare makes me feel fulfilled and that is what made me want to work in this company.
