Our Name
The origin of the name “Dedalus” draws inspiration from both ancient mythology and the iconic Chartres Gothic cathedral.
In the mythological narrative, dating back to 2000 BC, Δαίδαλος emerges as the foremost architect of antiquity, credited with crafting the legendary Palace of Knossos. Within its walls lay an intricate labyrinth, symbolizing the journey towards prosperity and enlightenment.
Fast forward to 1220 AD, and the completion of the Chartres Cathedral, a pinnacle of Gothic architecture. A labyrinth adorns its floors, embodying the quest for knowledge and spiritual illumination.
“Dedalus,” inscribed in Latin, the universal language of Europe for over 1500 years, now serves as the name of our company.
