I’m Cary Lord and I am happy to share a little about my journey and daily experiences as Test Manager at Dedalus.
Having dedicated over 15 years to the company, specifically within the test software team, I can confidently say that this role has been both a challenging and immensely rewarding part of my career.

From the very beginning, Dedalus has been at the forefront of innovation in healthcare technology, and being part of that journey has been nothing short of inspiring. My role involves ensuring that all of our software products, created and developed in Leeds, meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance before they reach the hands of healthcare professionals – testing products right from design and creation stages to deployment and release and also mentoring a team of talented software testers.

What truly drives my passion for this job is the real-world impact of our products. There is an unparalleled sense of satisfaction in knowing that the software we meticulously test and refine is being utilised in hospitals, ambulances, clinics, and other healthcare settings across the UK. Seeing our products in action, assisting healthcare providers, and ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes makes all the hard work worthwhile.

My 15-year+ journey with Dedalus has been filled with growth, learning, and a deep sense of accomplishment. Every day is different and I enjoy working with like-minded colleagues with a mix of youth, enthusiasm, knowledge and experience. The software test team is very collaboratively focused, resulting in a supportive work culture which encourages learning, continuous improvement and productivity. I look forward to many more years of contributing to the development of software that makes a tangible difference in healthcare environments worldwide.
