Beaumont Hospital first in Ireland to reap the European Computerised Physician Order Entry (CPOE) benefits of ORBIS U
As part of the wider Digital for Care programme, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, funded and supported by the HSE, has chosen Dedalus’ ORBIS as its Computerised Physician Order Entry and Clinical Portal solution (CPOE), becoming the first hospital in Ireland to take Europe’s leading application.

ORBIS CPOE will be used to place orders for a wide range of tests, investigations and services that go beyond pathology and diagnostic imaging.
Beaumont Hospital will also use ORBIS to view patients in wards and easily see what results are available, alerts and outstanding actions for each patient. This together with ORBIS’ Patient and Activity Dashboards will assist with Beaumont’s workflows, enriching patient care and maintain clinical safety.
ORBIS CPOE is expected to result in gains in efficiency, process optimisation, and streamlined communication within the Hospital.
