Dedalus to deliver new electronic patient record for NHS Humber Health Partnership
Dedalus ORBIS EPR application selected to support clinically led transformation across NHS Humber Health Partnership
NHS Humber Health Partnership has selected ORBIS by Dedalus as its new electronic patient record (EPR) platform, marking a major milestone in its journey to deliver safer, more connected care.
Serving over 1.5 million people across Northern and North-East Lincolnshire, Hull, and East Yorkshire, the Partnership provides acute and community services through Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. ORBIS will unify patient information across these services, replacing multiple legacy systems with a single, integrated EPR.
Following a rigorous evaluation process, the decision reflects a shared commitment to clinically led transformation and a system that delivers real benefits to patients and staff. The new EPR system will:
- Enable integrated, real-time access to patient records across services, ensuring continuity of care and reducing duplication
- Streamline clinical workflows, cutting down on administrative burden and improving efficiency
- Enhance safety and quality with standardised documentation and clinical decision support
- Support alignment with NHS England’s digital maturity and EPR convergence objectives.
Implementation will follow a phased and collaborative model, ensuring clinician involvement throughout. This approach—refined through
Dedalus’s 40+ year partnership with the NHS—is designed to maximise adoption, clinical safety, and long-term value.
Dedalus applications are used in the care of one in three European citizens and are designed to support the evolving needs of individual Trusts,
Integrated Care Systems, and wider national goals.
