Developing A Vision for Interoperability and Innovation

I’m Danny Hepworth, Development Team Lead at Dedalus and I am thrilled to share my journey with PatientAide and our vision for its future.
I have been working at Dedalus for two-and-a-half years where I have been predominantly working on the development of PatientAide, our patient facing application built to integrate with healthcare systems.
The Evolution of PatientAide
Over the past year, we’ve made significant strides in refining PatientAide to better serve both patients and healthcare providers. Our focus has been on enhancing user experience, improving data accuracy, and ensuring robust security measures. PatientAide is now more intuitive, secure, and powerful than ever before, providing real-time access to essential patient information and facilitating smoother clinical workflows.
Expanding Horizons: Integration with ORBIS
One of our major future developments is the integration of PatientAide with different systems or record, such as ORBIS, our comprehensive Electronic Patient Record system. This integration represents a significant leap forward in achieving interoperability within healthcare systems. By bridging PatientAide with ORBIS, we will create a cohesive environment where patient data flows seamlessly, ensuring that healthcare providers have all the information they need at their fingertips. This synergy not only enhances patient care but also optimises operational efficiency across the board.
A Vision for EPR Agnosticism
Our goal is to make PatientAide EPR agnostic. We recognise the diverse landscape of healthcare IT systems and the need for flexibility and adaptability. By making PatientAide compatible with various EPR systems, we aim to break down silos and foster a more interconnected healthcare ecosystem. This initiative will empower healthcare providers to access and share patient data effortlessly, regardless of the underlying EPR system in use.
Future of PatientAide
Our roadmap for PatientAide is both ambitious and exciting. We recognise the importance of mobility in healthcare and we are continuously testing and developing PatientAide. This enables healthcare providers to access critical patient data on-the-go, enhancing responsiveness and care delivery.
Our mission is to drive innovation in health technology
At Dedalus, our mission is to drive innovation in healthcare technology. PatientAide is a testament to this commitment, and we are excited about its potential to transform patient care. As we continue to evolve and expand, we remain dedicated to our core values of interoperability, user-centricity, and excellence.
