Dedalus to deliver solution to Holland's National Terminology Services
Unified tool for easy data sharing in healthcare

Milan, 2023 September 15th. Nictiz, the Dutch national competence center for digital information management in healthcare, is working with Dedalus and CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, to deliver their terminology solution.
Nictiz develops and maintains national standards for health information exchange and is also the national publishing center for SNOMED CT in the Netherlands. To future-proof healthcare in the Netherlands, a national health information strategy was established. As part of this strategy, they needed a way to centralize knowledge and allow users to easily find and implement data standards.
Chantal Schiltmeijer, Technical Implementation Advisor at Nictiz: “Working with Dedalus to provide a solution based on our National Terminology Services will promote greater use of standard terminology across all our health and care environments, providing us with a secure, reliable and robust environment. The National Terminology Server (NTS) is far more than a standard FHIR server and makes it easier for systems to use the same systems, but without all the development effort – that’s where the ‘magic’ of this technology happens.”
